Betty Peabody ​

Balboa Park volunteer since 1969

A volunteer in Balboa Park since 1969, Peabody founded the group that became Friends of Balboa Park (FOBP) in 1998 and later, Forever Balboa Park. Since then, the group has spearheaded major capital improvement initiatives throughout the park.

​

Peabody has since served on the board of directors, and remains an active volunteer on numerous Park committees, always advocating for the “Jewel of San Diego.”

​

Tonight, Betty will be joined by the current E.D. of Forever Balboa Park, Katy McDonald

The Bankers Hill Community Group is open to all and has no dues. Through presentations and reports from government representatives we bring information to home owners, renters and property/business owners during our monthly meetings, held on the third Monday of each month except August and December.  We encourage attendee socializing and networking as we gather 30 minutes before the start of most meetings.

 

Those attending are expected to be respectful and follow guidelines set out by the facilitator.  BHCG will ask anyone not willing to be respectful of the facilitator and others to promptly leave the meeting.​
